Safety

Nobody earns points for taking a risk.

Useful work. Stronger community. Every person owns the right to stop.

Effective October 29, 2026 · Farewell Holdings LLC · Lake Wales, Florida

Team HoneyDo helps friends coordinate ordinary projects. It does not inspect property, certify people, provide professional advice, or make unsafe work safe.

The stop-work rule

Anyone may pause or stop work for any safety reason. No explanation is required. Nobody may retaliate, shame, or pressure a person for declining a task.

Work that stays outside an ordinary crew day

Unless a properly licensed, insured, and permitted professional is responsible, ordinary crews should not perform:

  • Service-panel, new-circuit, concealed electrical, gas-line, or fuel-system work.
  • Structural, foundation, roofing, plumbing, or HVAC work that requires a license or permit.
  • Asbestos, lead, mold, biohazard, sewage, or unknown chemical remediation.
  • Excavation near utilities that have not been located and marked.
  • High tree removal, unstable climbing, or work requiring fall-protection systems.
  • Demolition where structural, utility, or hazardous-material conditions are unknown.
  • Any work prohibited by law, insurance, a lease, HOA rule, or the property owner.

Before tools come out

  • Walk the project and name the hazards.
  • Name one host and one work lead.
  • Confirm the address, exits, first-aid supplies, water, and phone access.
  • Match tasks to skill, strength, mobility, and comfort.
  • Read manufacturer instructions and use the right eye, ear, hand, respiratory, and fall protection.
  • Keep children and pets outside active work zones unless an adult is specifically supervising them.
  • Do not use an unfamiliar tool without instruction.

While the crew is working

  • Keep alcohol and impairing substances until after the work is over. Never operate a tool or vehicle while impaired.
  • Keep the site orderly, hydrated, and reasonably lit.
  • Stop when hidden conditions, unexpected utilities, unstable materials, or work outside the crew’s competence appears.
  • Record injuries, near misses, and property damage promptly.

Emergencies

Call local emergency services first. Team HoneyDo is not an emergency service and should be contacted only after immediate needs are addressed.

When in doubt, hire the professional.

A finished list is never worth an injury, a fire, a code violation, or a friendship damaged by pressure.
